Mentoring Sessions
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Vortisch and PD Dr.-Ing. Martin Kagerbauer accompany students in their choice of study profiles. To this end, mentoring sessions are held at the beginning of the course, mainly in the first few weeks of the semester. The offer is generally aimed at students studying mobility and infrastructure with a profile in urban and traffic planning or traffic engineering as well as civil engineering with a focus on mobility and infrastructure.
To make an appointment for a mentoring session, please fill out the form below. You will then receive a confirmation email describing the next steps depending on the mentor you have selected. The procedure for arranging appointments is identical to the allocation process for oral examination appointments.
To make an appointment for a mentoring meeting, please fill out one of the following forms:
- Mentoring interview with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Vortisch
- Mentoring interview with PD Dr.-Ing. Martin Kagerbauer
The interviews with Prof. Dr.-Ing Peter Vortisch generally take place in person (Building 10.30, R.305). These are scheduled for 30 minutes, although one-hour interviews can also be arranged in advance if you consider your situation to be complicated (Bachelor's degree not at KIT, no tendencies/preferences, etc.). It is expected that you have studied the module handbook in detail in advance and that you come to the appointment with initial ideas and the module selection form.
The interviews with PD Dr.-Ing. Martin Kagerbauer generally take place online and are scheduled for 30 minutes. You are expected to have read the module handbook in detail in advance and to come to the appointment with the module selection form. You are also requested to send a first draft of the form to PD Dr.-Ing. Martin Kagerbauer by e-mail no later than the day before.
The relevant forms to bring to the interview can be found on the pages of the Master's Examination Board.
The choice of modules should be made carefully. However, if changes in the choice of modules become necessary during the course of studies and the corresponding modules have not yet been started, requests for changes can be sent to mentoring with a short justification, their old and new form for signature, provided that Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Vortisch is your mentor. Alternatively, the documents and reasons can be printed out and handed in at the secretary's office (Building 10.30., R.304). In the case of PD Dr.-Ing. Martin Kagerbauer being your mentor, the change request must be sent directly to him by e-mail with the aforementioned documents. ∂ ifv kit edu
