SurViz—automated generation of travel time representations for stated preference surveys
SurViz can be used to automatically create and visualize travel time representations for stated preference (SP) surveys for traffic research. The aim is to simplify the design of such surveys and at the same time improve their comprehensibility by graphically presenting the decision situations. The application enables the configuration of relevant framework conditions (displayed alternatives, attributes, etc.), the use of various input formats (e.g. NGene output or CSV files) and the export of visualizations for insertion into common survey systems.
The software is implemented as a desktop application and is available for free use as an open source project. No support or liability is assumed by the developers.
The tool was developed as part of a student project by Alexander Homann, Julius Pfister, Armin Brändle, Benicio Nell and Jaro Dominik.
