Education and Work Experience

1964 bis 1970  Technical University of Munich, Diploma in Civil Engineering.
1988 Technical University of Braunschweig, 1988, Ph.D. Graduation  
Ph.D. thesis: Socio-ecological Simulation Model of Ridership
since 1970 partner and chairman of various consultancies
since1980 conducted numerous transport studies and planning projects in Germany and abroad.

 Research

Transport and telecommunication behaviour, modelling, planning and evaluation methodology in the domain of transport. These involve methodological developments of survey methods and microsimulation modelling – in particular in the fields of transport communication and telematics – as well as the development of environment-friendly and sustainable schemes for urban and long distance travel and their implementation.
